Re:Top Marimba Players
Many, but not all, of the “top marimba players” performed at the Marimba 2010 International Festival & Conference in late April in MN. For information, see www.marimba2010.org
It was a fantastic experience. Congratulations to Fernando Meza for making it all happen.

This is a 4.6 Malletech Practice Marimba with the Oak frame and Rosewood bars. I am looking for serious offers only as this is a hard to find piece of equipment. I will worn you that this marimba has been used by private lesson students so the bars are questionable on tuning/cracks. I have sent the bars to an expert to price the repairs. Repairs will be deducted from the final offer. Let me know what you guys think.

I have one of these Malletech 4.6 Practice Marimbas. I was wondering what someone would pay for such a piece of equipment.

Hello Everyone,
I am writing because I am looking for a 5 octave Marimba to rent. I was recently diagnosed with leukemia, as a result I have had to withdraw from the Manhattan School of Music for at least this semester. I am a percussion performance major and my specialty is marimba. I recently won the Manhattan concerto Competition and was scheduled to perform my piece with spring, but that as been indefinately postponed. My problem is that I desparately want to continue learning and growing as a musician, but I cannot find an instrument to practice on while I am recovering at home in Denver. If any knows where I can get info on renting a 5 octave marimba, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks to all.
