I am wondering if anyone knows of any great pieces for marimba that could be used as an encore. The piece could either be for solo marimba or Marimba with orchestral accompaniment. I

That really depends on what kind of pieces you have played in the main concert. If it were really flashy piece, a quiet piece would be great etc. It is all programming, IMHO.

Having said that, in the same string as the Flight of Bumble Bee, Sabre Dance by Khachatorian is also good, as most peaple knows it.

One crowd~pleaser that comes to mind right away is Nebojsa Zivcovic's marimba solo Ultimatum 1. It's a tricky & difficult piece, but it's very exciting & will be sure to keep your audience on the edges of their seats, whether they like contemporary music or not.
