Hi, my friend and I want to start a marimba duo, and we need help with duet repretoire. We dont really know any good pieces for 2 marimbas, so please give some input. This is our skill level right now: We are both 14 years old and this is our solo repertoire; yellow after the rain, bach concerto in a minor, rain dance, etude in c major by C.O. Musser, Dream of the Cherry Blossoms, waves, and Time (still working on it). So that's where we are right now. So, if you know any good duets that match our skill level, please give me some input. Thanks!

you might try an arrangement of Flight of The BumbleeBee

There is a pretty nice arrangment by Max Leth. Its written for a low E marimba, but can be played on an A instrument

Also, there is some showy stuff like switching places on the instrument and close intervals (i.e. 3rds) on several of the runs
