Around what level of technical proficiency is required for Michi? I'm looking for a good college audition piece this year and I like the sound of it. I've played "Frogs." Is it somewhat similar?

michi is more expressive than frogs. Michi is also more deeper and lower, for the most part. there is also some improvistation in the piece. It is a good piece for a college audition, i would assume. You might also want to consider some of the other Abe pieces. (Wind in the Bamboo Grove, Dream of the Cherry Blossoms, Variations on Japanese Childrens Songs, etc.) Anywho, good luck on your audition.
