I see some of you people on ebay bidding on stuff.

In a lot of auctions, people start the bidding much too early, and the price are driven up until they are at or above retail. For example, I saw a 20 year old Abel triangle bid up to where it was almost above Steve Weiss' price for a new one. Who knows... maybe old Abels are much better than new ones!

It might be better to hold off bidding until the auction is almost completed so the price isn't driven up too much.

I would be interested to hear other people's ideas on ebay bidding.
