i really like playing marimba, but I don't have that much music. Now, I plan on going out to get some, but I cannot convince my parents to spend 30-50 bucks on a piece of music. So, this is a big request and most of you will probably deny it. But could anyone possibly email scans of Dream of the Cherry Blossoms? Just until I get enough money to buy it myself of course. And I know it's hard to trust people now-a-days, but I SWEAR I will go out and buy it if someone does email it to me. thanks

R.H.,

I know you've probably heard this 1,000 times, but that's seriously illegal and the artist loses a sale every time someone does that. When a publishing company no longer profits off of a particular piece of music, they pull it off of the press. Trust me, there are too many great pieces of music that could easily be pulled if sales are not made. Keep the marimba community happy and prosperous.

As far as your parents are concerned, keep bugging them. (I've been in that spot many times, but they'll probably give in. Remember, Christmas is coming...!) Dream of the Cherry Blossams is $12 in a Steve Weiss catalog. There is an abundance of great pieces out there. What else have you played? Do you want any other suggestions?

Later,
Julia
