Movin' Mallets is introducing a new series of marimba mallets with latex cores! Some mallets have natural rubber cores with a latex wrap, and others purley latex cores. These mallets prove to get the most fundamental sound from the bars of your instrument.

Latex mallets will sound better on some marimbas than others, but the general understanding is that they have a full fat bodies and warm sound.
