Dear Frank,
I actually work on the board of directors at the Percussive Arts Society. It's great to see you have interests in us. My first piece of advice would be for you to start listening to as much rap music as you can. PAS was once all about percussion but I'm happy to say that we are booking artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg for future PASIC events. All new staff members are going to have to be well versed in busting rhymes. For example on the application there is a fill in the blank that says: "back up on that '----' with the resurection." And like any good marimba player you would put the correct answer which of course is "ass". Just the other day I signed this kid a $60,000 year contract, he didn't really know a damn thing about percussion. When I asked him how many 8th notes are in a 4/4 meter he just pulled out his gat, pointed it at my head and said "Yo break yourself bitch!" This showed me that he really knew what he was doing and that he was straight out-a LoCach FOO. So frank, keep listening to snoop and pointing your gat a suckas and you'll be in in no time.
gook luck
