Hi all,
I'm starting jacob druckman's, reflection on the nature of water. I really enjoy the piece and I was wondering if anyone else had an opinion on the piece (ie strong points, weak points). I was going to use the piece as part of of audition material for grad. school. Im just looking for some feedback.
Thanks

In my somewhat biased opinion, Druckman's Reflections... is certainly one of the 4 or 5 most significant works ever written for the marimba. As audition material, the only drawback is length, so you might be asked to play only 2-3 movements. Be sure to include both a lyrical (I, III, V) and a fast (II, IV, VI) example.
