I never played any movements from the Miyoshi for an audition, but I did perform it on a graduate recital. IMHO it's among the more "listener-friendly" Japanese pieces (at least, to the ears of an American audience!!!), and I found it very enjoyable to prepare and perform. It is not without its technical challenges, but IMHO if you are able to play the Tanaka you should be able to play the Miyoshi.

While I don't know that "Conversations" any more difficult than the Tanaka (I'll admit that I don't know the Tanaka as well as I know the Miyoshi), I think it's different enough to make it a good choice to follow up the "Two Movements." The individual movements are short enough that you could select two or three for your audition, and I think that in tandem with some other contrasting literature the Miyoshi would serve you well.
