I am performing my junior recital this year for college and I am looking at the Four Rotations by Sammut as a marimba selection anlong with something else. I am just looking for some feedback on which ones all of you out there who have played it enjoyed and any other helpful info, advice or comments...thanks

I just played #1 last year... VERY cool! The part with the left-hand ostinato and octaves in the right-hand is the best part, in my opinion. I've also looked @ #3, but not much of it so i don't know how the difficulty goes for that one.

I've heard all 4 of them and I highly reccomend them. They're great for developing technique and lots of fun to play.

Sorry i can't be of any more help than that.

Best,
CT

I'm performing #4 at a showcase concert on Saturday over here at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. I absolutely love it! Very jazzy and very pleasing to the ears. I highly recommend #4. I've heard all 4 of them performed by She-e Wu, my professor, and all of them are beautiful. I would definitely recommend all of them, but especially #2 and #4.
