Dear All,

I am wondering someone could let me know if I could play any of the following on an 4.3 octave marimba:

-Variations of Japanese Children's Songs
-Michi
-Dream of the cherry blossoms
-Wind in the bamboo grove
-Memories of the seashore

I am entering a competition in England and only have access to a 4.3 octave marimba, if any of these Abe pieces have been written for 4.3 octave I would be grateful if somone could let me know.

Cheers

Of these, I know you can do "Michi" and "Cherry Blossoms" on a 4 1/3. I believe Michi was written with that instrument in mind, and Cherry Blossoms is a 4 1/2, but I think there are optional markings in the score to make it fit on a 4 1/3. I don't know "Wind" and I think "Memories" is entirely 5 octave...it's sure got a lot of low Cs....
