Hey, whats up with composers now? Can't they write a piece that doesnt call for a 5 Oct. marimba? I've gotten alot of Keiko Abe's pieces, Mark Ford's "Polaris", and Akemi Naito's "Memory of the Woods", and I cant play any of them. Can anyone fill me in on some pieces that I can get by with on a low A marimba? Thanks.

Anything by Christopher Deane, any of the earlier Stout pieces, Abe's Michi and Prism, O'meara's Restless, Rhythm Song, Creston Concerto are all playable on a 4.3.

-Footpath: Dave Samuels

-Various marimba concertos
-Many more that I can't think of

There are many previous threads about this. Just click on "search" in the right hand corner and you should be fine.
