I am a percussion performance major at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I'm looking for some possible summer studies focusing on marimba. Do the University of Illinois there offer anything? Or do you take on any students for summer study? Thanks for your time

The University of Illinois School of Music (www.music.uiuc.edu) offers limited openings for summer study (8 weeks), but that is usually filled with currently enrolled students. Also on a limited basis, I do accept private students at the collegiate level and above.

In lieu of the above, I would recommend the Leigh Howard Stevens Summer Marimba Seminar (www.mostlymarimba.com) or the Zeltsman Marimba Festival (www.zmf.us).
