Has anyone played on or heard about the 4 1/3 octave padauk marimbas that Musser, Adams, Yamaha, and Vancore make?

PADOOK! A PADOOK! YOU SHOULD GET A REAL MARIMBA!!! Oh wait, sorry I'm not rich snob, I forgot. Take it away, Bill!
BUT, the thing with padauk marimbas is they have a whole lot less resonance than rosewood and kelon. There are fine practice marimbas, but bare in mind if you want to take it out and play, a kelon might be the best choice for volume. Yamaha makes a good kelon. Besides that, I have not heard much more about the padauk wood instruments. Best of luck!
