Do any of you know a decent work for marimba and trumpet? As much as I love contemporary and atonal works, I'm looking for something that would be more widely accepted by a general audience of non-musicians - ya know, the people who just want to hear Bach and Beethoven....so much for my integrity, because I really am looking for a crowd pleaser. I'm looking for something around 5 to 10 minutes long, but feel free to email me with any ideas. Peace!

There are many pieces for trumpet and marimba thanks to the Wilder Duo (Robert levy and Gordon Stout). I like Muted Suggestions by David Snow. Gordon's piece, Duo (Dance Song) for Trumpet and Marimba, is another piece which provides audience appeal. There is also, of course, the Alec Wilder Suite for Trumpet and Marimba. A publishing company (whose name I forget) has a series of Wilder Duo pieces available. A google search should turn them up.
