Hey guys! Long time, no post!
I recently purchased some mallets(actually just got them delivered and it made me think of this). I purchased the Malletech She-E-Wu 14's from Steve Weiss. I really needed some mallets quick, so I gambled on these. After I use them for a week or two, I'll write a short review on them. The point of the post is that there is virtually no place I know of that marimbist(and other keyboard percussionists) post opinions or reviews of goods. We all know that you can't exactly go down to a local percussion warehouse and sample loads of equipment, especially mallets, marimbas, etc. We also know that very little keyboard percussion music is available on CD, and also the fact that buying percussion music is basically all mail-order. What does this mean?? Well, it means that a large portion of what we purchase involves a bit of gambling. We've all purchased music or equipment and been unsatisfied once it arrived. But the only helpful tool we have is the manufacturer
By the way, I don't really have experience building websites, and I don't have the cash to purchase a good program like Dreamweaver, but I DO have the webspace. I get 300mb of space through my ISP, and I have no problem using it to build a site like this, but would need some help from others. Just in case anyone is interested.
