Does anybody know where I could get hold of 'Rhapsody' for
Marimba, Flute, Clarinet, Drums and Double Bass by the composer
Takayoshi Yoshioka.
This particular piece is featured on Evelyn Glennie's
'Wind in the Bamboo Grove'

The score to Rhapsody is published by Zen-on and is available through their exclusive USA distributor, European American Music. Also, Steve weiss usually stocks it. It is included in a volume with Yoshioka's three Suites for solo marimba.

One problem with performing the pice is that there is no set of parts (only score). You have to cut and paste a set of parts. Yoshioka told me he did the same when he played it with his group, Pleiades Quintet.

There is also a very fine performance on his own CD, Yoshioka Plays Yoshioka, on ALM Records, ALCD-7035.
