Hi all,
Wondering if anyone had been to either the LHS or Nancy Z. summer camp, if they'd recommend them, and for what age/experience level of player they'd recommend them.
Thanks,
Jennie
I've been to neither, unfortunately, but have heard only great things about them. I've also heard that the Northwestern University Marimba Festival hosted by Micahel Burritt was worth a look at, as well.
Best,
CJT
I've been to NZ's twice and would highly recommend it (details at www.zmf.us). I have not been LHS's, but have heard nothing but good things about it from friends who have (details at www.mostlymarimba.com).

Yo man, if you're up for the time commitment, I would recommend LHS. I went a few years back, man we covered so much stuff it was unreal, so much USEFUL information. Be careful to go in there with some grains of salt...Stevens has strong opinions about some debated marimba issues, but if you take it in stride who cares. This camp changed the way I thought about and played marimba, all for the better. She-e is awesome, and so are all the clinicians. Thumbs up, as they say
