Well, I know this peice gets asked about every day, but in reading through the messages, I would like to get clarification on Prism Rhapsody by Keiko Abe:

1) How mallets does it take at maximum (I've heard everything from 2-6 mentioned about this peice...)

2) What range marimba is needed?

3) Is it published in her Works For Solo Marimba, Works for Marimba, or is the part with piano reduction a completely differnt peice (I've heard something refered to as a 'solo version' and also as a 'concerto' so I dont really know if this means two different peices we're talking about or ?)

Thanks so much, sorry for asking more questions about this darn thing.

Abe's Prism is for solo marimba, two-mallet, and is published in "Works for Solo Marimba."

Prism Rhapsody is a concerto version of Prism, scored for both Wind Ensemble or Orchestra, and includes additional solo material using both four- and six-mallets. It is published in a piano reduction version; complete performance materials are rental only from Xebec.
