are there any peices that are written for marimba and sax (alto or soprano). either as a duo or one with a piano accompiment would work too. i love the sound of the sax and have a sax player that would be interested.
thanks all,

What about Akira Yuyama's Divertimento for Marimba and Alto Saxophone? There are CDs of it, and you can also listen to it at Marimba.org Online Concert

I have written a work for soprano saxophone and five-octave marimba, called Duo(Dance-Song), which is published by M Baker Publications. Of course, there is also the Yuyama work for alto saxophone and marimba that has been around for years. Gordon Stout
FYI: "Kumbengo" by Gregg Koyle. Duo scored for soprano sax (and/or clarinet) and marimba - good interaction between players, fairly difficult (four-mallets), the piece is very rhythmic and has some nice groves!
