Hey all,
There are a bunch of great pieces that most marimba players are familiar with, as being as "classics" (though not very old). Such as, Time, Mirage, Torse III, Dance of Earth and Fire, Merlin, See Ya Thursday, After Syrinx II, Velocities, Marimbology, and so many more to mention.
I was wondering, if anyone has discovered any new pieces that have not reached such popularity as the list above, yet derves to be. Or pieces that we should "watch out for". I have not been to many marimba recitals, but I would really like to know what type of pieces Mr. Moersch, Mr. Van Sice, Ms. Zeltsman, etc. are playing now.
I have one to add to this "new" list, which is Alejandro Vinao's "Khan Variations." Anyone else have any suggestions of pieces to "watch out for"?
