My great-grandfather's brother, Peter Levin, lived in California in the 1920's, 30's, 40's, maybe even 50's. The last reference I have put him in Santa Monica. He immigrated from Russia or Lithuania before 1900. The family was centered in Pennsylvania. He was a marimba player, apparently of some merit, as my mother remembers that he had played with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Does anyone have any advice on how I might find information about him? Census searches and general googling have not helped. Thanks!
