For the summer, one of my mallet assignments is to learn the Magic Flute. But the trick, i guess, is using the perfect mallet. Does anyone have any suggestions? My professor doesn't like brass, so maybe something else? Im open to anything.

There is a mallet producer that makes a mallet specifically for the magic flute. It has an almost wire thin metal shaft, with a tiny aluminum head. I want to say it is pro mark, but you can find out on steveweiss.com.
