I was wondering if people know of a marimba teacher in the Orange County California region.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't think of any off hand, but I would check some of the major colleges and universites in your area. Maybe UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton. Just about any percussion professor at a university will have a strong background in marimba, and many of them will specialize in marimba. Good luck!
