I'm going to be playing some outdoor festivals and parties with a latin jazz group. Any tips on micing a marimba? How many mics should I use for a 4.3? Where should I place them. Any specific types of microphones? Thanks!

I don't have an answer, but I'd really like to hear one. What are the best positions for microphone placement? Should they be above the instrument pointing down to get the direct sound of the bars? Or should they be low and in front to get more of the resonator sound?
