High school marimba student is looking for Christmas sheet music for fun. Especially interested in "Sleigh Ride." Checked all the sheet music sites we could find. Prefer 2 mallet music. Any ideas?
Have you tried the Steve Weiss Catalog?
Since you're looking for two mallet stuff a fake book for C instruments might work for you. They are usually a melody line with an indicated chord progression. you could try a local music store that sells piano music. I have not seen one for christmas music but I haven't looked. I would imagine it is out there somewhere. Also, Flute or Oboe music might work well for you.
Hello,
I did a christmas gig on marimba last year. I borrowed a hymnal from a friend of mine that directs a churh choir. I too a few tunes out of there. Most of them were written in 4 parts. Also, Nancy Zeltsman recorded the Christmas Song on her new CD. The sheet music is avaiable from Steve Weiss. I hope this helps.
