Dr. Moersch can you suggest a 2-hour practice regiment for an intermediate player? I am trying to manage my time, but am overwhelmed with all of the materials out there. It can seem daunting. Any suggestions on how to allocate this important time?

A good practice routine should include the following:
1) Warm-up
2) Technical studies
3) Main learning / problem solving goal, usually involving repertoire in progress
4) Sight reading
5) Performance of current repertoire
6) Cool down
The duration and proportions are up to you, but longer practice sessions should also have regular break periods.
(P.S. I'm not a real Doctor, nor do I play one.)
