Classic Concert Music Group and Mozarteum University Salzburg are proud to announce the Marimba and Percussion Summer Academy which will take place as part of the esteemed Mozarteum Summer Academy Salzburg this year directly after the International Marimba Competition Linz, Austria under Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Sadlo and Prof. Bogdan Bacanu.

The Academy, which is known as the greatest of its kind, takes place annually in the city of Salzburg - Mozart's birthplace running parallel with one of the world's most important classical music festivals - the Salzburger Festpiele. Salzburg lies only One hour by train from Linz and the combination of the International Marimba Competition in Linz followed by the academy and festival in Salzburg will provide a well rounded European musical experience for candidates in which they can take lessons from two of the very best Percussion and Marimba pedagogues in the musically charged atmosphere of Salzburg.

The participants will undertake single lessons and will be given the opportunity to play at important musical venues throughout the duration of the academy and the festival that runs simultaneously. Not only active participation will be of value to candidates, but the chance to hear the best Orchestras from all over the world such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra will prove a musical experience not to be missed.
