I just saw that C. Alan is publishing two new Romantic type works for marimba by Noah D. Taylor. One is a beautiful, film-like concerto for marimba and orchestra (piano). This is much like a Rachmaninoff or Liszt concerto for marimba, very tonal and exciting. The other is an cool work for marimba and percussion ensemble, The Hunt. This also is a very film-like tonal work with some sweet mallet and drum writing!

It sounds like his marimba concerto is getting some performances and is the next big thing in the marimba world! It is gorgeous. Orchestras and audience love it. Check out the clips on C. Alan
