I need to put together an audition in the next few months. I played very seriously many years ago (20), off and on over the years, with the past three years being mostly "off." Three years ago I worked on Rhythm Song, which I loved but never felt totally confident about. I recently ordered Rain Dance since I like it, but am trying to figure out where it falls in difficulty - I don't see it on the Pearl ratings list. It clearly is less difficult than Rhythm Song, but it seems less difficult than Yellow After The Rain which I played a long time ago. Does that seem right? If so, I'll probably go with Yellow unless anyone has other suggestions. Thanks!

hi - what is the audition for..are you playing everything (snare, timps, etc.) or just mallets? I think both pieces are about the same difficulty, Maybe Rain Dance is a little easier thank Yellow. Greg
