Could someone please advise me as to the level of difficulty it takes to play a decent piece on the marimba? Also, where does one go to take lessons and do you buy or rent the instrument? If you buy, how much should you spend? How hard would it be for a novice to be able to play - at least one song - really good?

Thanks for your help!

There is one on sale at ebay.
It is an old Deagan Marimba, and current bid is
$355. See the url:

There is another one on sale at eBay, but the condition
looks much worse and the bid closes in 7 hours or so.

Regards,

Nat

Dear Bobbie,
We need more information to advise you properly. Where do you live? What is your previous musical training? What sort of piece do you want to learn? What are you learning this piece for? A performance? Do you want to continue your study or simply learn your one piece? Write again for better assistance.
