does anyone use the Pro-mark Evelyn Glennie mallets?? Speciffically the medium set.. how heavy are they, nice overtones?? etc...

I use these mallets, I like them a lot. They are very heavy, one of the heaviest pairs (kind of like the yamaha ones). The wrap is very tigh chord and the cores are pretty hard. They have a nice full sound with a lot of articulation, they will crack low bars though. The medium and soft ones are good mallet additions, but the hard ones are extremely hard and can only be used for very specific uses. I used the medium ones a lot on misyoshi's conversation. Anyway, those are my 2 cents on that
