hello all.

I am currently in the process of buying myself a marimba..but I was wondering if any of you have any comments about the lower range of the Yamaha, Kori, and Malletech marimbas (i.e. 4 1/2 and 5th octaves). Ive played on the Adams 5 octave before and I liked it because the 5th octave was strong..and I usually play on a Marimba One, which has kind of a weak low range. I'm not bothering even thinking about Musser, because I play on a M250 and M450 all the time and I hate it, so I doubt I'll like anything else. But I really want to make a good decision on something I'll have for the rest of my life.

So these are my questions
1. What are the low octaves of Yamaha, Kori and Malletech
marimbas.
2. What is the wood like (really soft, thicker, etc..)
3. How do the ranges work together, i.e. bright top and
weak bottom, solid throughout the entire range, etc..
4. Have you heard of any problems in any of these
instruments?

Thanks
Scott
