Marimba needed for Europe

Hello

My name is Kate Adam. I am an Australian marimba player and am going to Europe from June to October this year. Part of my trip will be a tour with my marimba and vibraphone duo, Invention in Time.

We will be touring in Western Europe e.g. France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden (and possibly Portugal and the UK) between August and early October

It is too expensive to bring our instruments with us, and since we are financing the trip ourselves, we cannot afford to hire the instruments at standard professional rates. My playing partner has managed to secure a vibraphone to use for a nominal charge, and I am hoping to do likewise with a marimba.

If anyone is able to assist, or offer any advice, your reply would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone knows of performance opportunities in the above countries for high-standard mallet percussion music from the Southern Hemisphere, please let me know. Whilst our itinerary is firming up, there is still a degree of flexibility.

For more information on the group Invention in Time, please see the website http://www.inventionintime.com

Yours sincerely

Kate Adam
