Between 1915 and 1940, my great-grandfather (John Bruno Kohler) and his partner Otto Liebich, Sr. produced a variety of percussion instruments under their company name - The Kohler Liebich Liberty Chime Company. While the majority of their products were wall-mounted Dinner Chimes and theatre & church organ organ stops (xylophones, marimbas, celestes, chimes, harps, etc.), they did produce a small quantity of floor standing orchestra marimbas.
