Hey, you are actually a professional player? That's amazing. I thought everybody here was just amateurs. Is it true that Gordon Stout actually commented on you. That's just really cool

Robby,
There are a number of "pros" who participate on the marimba.org message board. I'm a professional percussionist, but outside of my work in the Vokes-Walker Duo (marimba and voice), I don't do much classical marimba work any more. Most of my work is either jazz mallets or steel pan.
And I don't know where you read Gordon commenting on me, but he and I have known each other for years - I studied with him for four years of undergraduate work at Ithaca College, 1984-88.

Well, there are bunch of professinal players around Marimba.org (though definition of professional can vary). Prof. Stout sometimes pops into this board as well. Most listing at marimba players sections are actually submit by the player him or herself.
