Evelyn Glennie

Dame Evelyn Glennie is a solo percussionist and composer. Her official biography describes her as the first person to create and sustain a full-time career as a solo percussionist. She has commissioned more than 200 works and recorded more than 40 albums. Her honors include two Grammy Awards, the Polar Music Prize, the Léonie Sonning Music Prize, and appointment as a Companion of Honour. She also established the Evelyn Glennie Foundation in 2023.
