Kazuko Kishida is a Japan-based marimba player, percussionist, and educator whose work includes solo performance, recording, teaching, workshops, and competition adjudication. She gave a marimba recital at Suntory Hall’s small hall on April 5, 1987, performing works listed by the hall archive as a concerto by Khachaturian, Bartók’s Rhapsody No. 1, and Stravinsky’s Suite italienne, with pianist Hiroyuki Abe.
The National Diet Library holds her recording The World of Marimba, issued under the name Kazuko Kishida. Its catalog lists works including Kabalevsky’s Concerto Op. 48, Stravinsky’s Suite italienne, Wang Yanqiao’s Rhapsody “Morning in the Dong Village,” and Bartók’s Rhapsody No. 1. The Japan Band Directors Association records a 1999 workshop titled “Marimba Performance and Talk” with Kishida as lecturer. Organizer records also name her as a percussion or marimba judge in national wind and percussion competitions from 2000 through 2004.
Shobi University’s April 2026 faculty roster identifies her as Kazuko Ogawa (Kishida), holder of a Master of Arts degree and a part-time lecturer since April 2000.
