I dont have my own marimba, but Iuse Marimba One at my school and would reccomend Marimba One to anyone..they have such a great sound. Very warm gorgeous sound, a real pleasure to play on. The frames are very quiet and look really nice as well! the service is really great too!
I also like the malletech marimba's sound, real nice and dark, the thing I really like about the malletech is its upper range, i played like the middle range and range forever, but I thought the bass bars are were much too wide and the sound was thinner than the marimba ones's.
However malletech has a very serious quality control problem. Very serious. I hear some of their marimbas are unplayable.
Adams are also nice, though not nearly as great as Marimba ones, they also have some customer service issues
I personally dont like yamaha rosewood marimbas, they are too bright for my taste, though I do like their acoustalon material.
Musser..Im not a fan..
