I hope you are able to buy a rosewood or padouk marimba rather than a fibreglass one.. In my opinion there is no comparison in sound, a plastic marimba just doesn't sound or feel like the real thing. But whatever you decide, I could suggest Steve Weiss Music in Philadelphia. This is the lowest priced(usually), best known, percussion mail order company in the US and very honest and reputable..
