An interesting project. Good luck with it.

Henze is probably the only one who could tell you if he had any personal imagery for each movement. Since he gave only minimal markings for each movement, you don't have much information to work with.

Two suggestions: do some research on Henze's background and other works (examine his earlier works for percussion, El Cimarron and Prison Song, for example -- he also has a newer percussion sextet). Then, explore your own personal imagery, if any, for 5 Scenes.
