The yamahas I've played on seem to have a brighter and more cutting sound than the marimba ones which have a mellower tone and seem to have a more consisten sound throughout the register than the yamahas do. Overall, both are excellent instruments, it just comes down to the type of sound you prefer. Kori is another great instrument, though kind of pricy. Remote Host: umn3-cache.r.state.mn.us
