Nothing to go with your reply, but, last year I recorded a concerto on a yamaha 6000 (the 5 octave, think it's the 6000...) and curiously the sound one gets when playing it is totally different from what it sounds in the hall, i.e. sounded strange and thin where I was standing, but nicely dark and resonant from the hall and on the recording. It's a curious experience for me, as I play a lot on adams and malletech (both instruments i own). Wondered what your thoughts were on this, and maybe, this is a highly personal experience.
