Good list guys. I just bought the Fillipo Lattanzi, great CD with alot of great repertoire. And yeah, Nancy's Merlin is the best recording out there, that said, I STILL have not heard Mr. Moersch's CD. I think its a shame how difficult it is to get CDs by our favorite artists, and also to see how limited the number of albums out there are. I mean, people like Ms. Zeltsman, Mr. Moersch, Mr. Van Sice, and many others are all legends of our time and veterans of marimba performance. But its a shame that they have only recorded one maybe two solo albums. This is NOT their fault, its just the way things are. Its customary for Yo-yo Ma to come out with one or two albums a year, and usually win or get nominated for a Grammy. That is the way it is (the status quo, if you will). Its a shame that the classical world is not as open to the marimba. I know the popularity is growing though. I say for any of you aspiring solo percussionists/marimbists. Don't be afraid to record many CDs. For the future of the marimba, it would be a great for a student to have many resources to learn a piece. And for all the other people in the now, I would love to see more CDs out there. I know its alot of work, but as far as I am concerned, I think people like Mr. Moersch, etc. should record a CD every year. I'll buy it, and I am sure others will too! I mean, since many of these famous marimba CDs have come out (Keiko Abe, Zletsman, Moersch, etc.), don't you think that the marimba has become MUCH more popular, and has found much more students? I think there is a larger market, more than ever before. So come on you guys, record those CDs. I am waiting at my computer with my credit card number as we speak! ;) Sorry for the rant... ~Behzad
