These are brand new- I bought them specifically to have a "control" set of mallets in testing different marimbas. (I see that they do offer a heavier version of the LHS15s, but I wanted to find a line that would be even throughout its range.) You bring up a good point, though- does this mean that the chart Malletech used to distribute detailing the weight and hardness of their mallets is no longer correct?
I hope mallet makers will realize soon that I'd be more apt to spend $60+ on a set of their mallets if they'd offer descriptions more tanglible than "medium" or "bright."
