I may check out the Prism Rhapsody Concerto. Have you found any benifit to working on Prism concurrently with Prism Rhapsody, or is there really no relationship between the two pieces playingwise.

With the mallets, that is what I will probably do. Or perhaps the two-tone mallets to start...

I have been using the Abe mallets this past week; Yamaha was kind enough to provide a full compliment of the mallets for a class I was participating in. I wouldn't consider buying mallets without having them in my hands first.

Had I actually not used them, I probably would not be considering purchasing them; usually the short shafts and thickness of Rattan mallets IS a big deal to me, however, these are longer, and only a little thicker than birch, and I like the feel when they play.

I like the heavyness of the Abe mallets, and the sound I am able to draw from the instrument with them. I'm not enamored with the IP mallets, and I've played with the Zeltsman mallets of other people I know, and it didn't make me want to go out and buy them. Not bad by any means, just not for me.
