Scott Joined: N/A From: N/A Posts: N/A Rosewood is the best-it has the warmest tone and the best resonance..it is also the least durable Synthetics..are really varied, don't get a musser kelon marimba-they sound like garbage, Yamaha Accoustalons sound really close to rosewood and will last forever. Paduk Bars...sounds mediocre If it's your first instrument, get a yamha accoustalon or an Adams synthetic..they'll be your best bet, really durable, not too expensive and they sound great!
