you're supposed to play those like a one-handed-roll.
it'd be way easier to show you this in person, takes less than 5 seconds, but anyways, here're the steps:
1) move your body counter clock-wise at 9 o'clock, which is about 45 degrees to the left (you head facing the bass side of the marimba)
2) extend your elbow out and position mallet #3 on the lower note of the trill (aiming at the very edge of the bar [below the nod], if it is NOT an accidental note. eg sharps and flats)
3) now position your mallet #4 on the center of the higher note of the trill as usual (except that you're still maintaining step #1)
4) now play a one handed roll, most trills starts with the higher note, so start it with mallet #4 first
how easy it's gonna be depends on the grip you're using as well.
