I'm posting to inform JRichards and the marimba.org community that the above mentioned artice credited to and
"prepared by" Graham Johns was actually written by Bill Youhass and published in the Oct. 1982 issue of Percussive Notes.
With the exception of exchanging a "King George" marimba
to a "Adams" marimba, changing an anecdotal year from 1981 to 1998, and naming specific mallet makes and models
it is Bill's article word for word.
